European Hotel Prices Rise

Average hotel prices in Europe’s major cities have risen another two percent from April to May 2010. This is the fifth consecutive month that overnight costs in Europe have
increased. Many cities are reaching significant price peaks, with five cities at their highest since May 2008. In Europe, the largest increases from April to May 2010 are to be found in Nuremburg (35%), Barcelona (22%) and Oslo (15%). These are the findings of the trivago Hotel Price Index (tHPI), which is published monthly by the hotel price comparison site www.trivago.co.uk.
